The Campus

The Campus was based in a structure that was put at our disposal by the Red Cross, in Settimo Torinese, near Turin. The space contains accommodation and lodging facilities and working areas, as well as a canteen, an infirmary, a bar, a meeting area, a computer room and a 7-a-7 soccer field.

Other features contributed in "making the campus alive": concerts, parties, radio broadcasts. Activities were held with the support of new technologies (online polls, electronic voting system). But of course the main feature was the work shared by all participants. See Activities for more details.

All participants lived in the Campus during the whole week, together with the staff from Terra del Fuoco. This was the best way to transform this event, not to be only a seminar, but also one of the steps we are taking in order to become a community, as we believe that building a "travelling community" is the best thing we can do for the construction of real, participated citizenship.
