The Phoenix - Freedom and Liberations

The project "The Phoenix - Freedom and Liberations" is an initiative centred upon the construction of European active citizenship. Young people from 17 European Countries, both EU Member states and non-EU Countries, are following a collective educational course, nine months long, to build together their ideal of Europe.

This project is participated by youth organizations, associations, local institutions, schools and universities from: Austria, Bulgaria, Greece, Italy, Lithuania, Macedonia/Fyrom, Malta, Moldova, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Turkey, Ukraine.

The project is supported by the European Commission (budget line 54/05) and has been granted the Patronage of the European Parliament and the High Patronage of the Presidency of the Italian Republic.

International campus - March 22nd - 27th, 2007

The Campus was the third stage of the project. 400 young people from all over Europe met in Turin at the end of March to spend one week together. During these days, they held workshops and discussion groups (see Activities for more information), and they will go to Rome to participate in the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of the Treaty of Rome, that established the EEC.
